Egypt, China launch joint air drill ‘Eagles of Civilization 2025’

CAIRO – 19 April 2025: The Egyptian-Chinese joint air drill "Eagles of Civilization 2025" has officially begun, featuring a range of multi-role fighter aircraft from various models.

The multi-day exercise is taking place at an airbase in Egypt, said the Egyptian Armed Forces’ Spokesman, Gharib Abdel Hafez, in a statement on Saturday.

The program includes joint flight operations and training in planning and managing air combat missions.

It aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and skill development among the participating forces, while enhancing their ability to carry out assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.

 

During the training, participating forces are also expected to engage in a series of theoretical and practical lectures aimed at standardizing combat concepts between both nations.

This training initiative is part of efforts to strengthen military cooperation between the Egyptian and Chinese armed forces.
