In a report on its activities in response to the Sudanese crisis during the period from April 2023 to April 2025, the ERC said on Wednesday that it sent three ships that carried more than 1,000 tons of relief supplies to Sudan.
“Our medical services reached over 52,500 individuals, and financial aid was distributed to 5,000 families. More than 10,000 people received psychological support,” ERC said.
Relief distributions included over 1 million dry meals, 1.3 million water bottles, and 210,000 hygiene kits, it added.
ERC Executive Director Amal Imam said immediately after the outbreak of the conflict, response teams were deployed, with support points established at the Qustul and Arqeen border crossings. “Volunteers have so far contributed over 340,000 hours to our humanitarian response efforts in solidarity with Sudan,” she added.
