CAIRO – 27 March 2025: Six people killed, nine injured and 29 others rescued after a tourist submarine sinks off the Red Sea coast of Hurghada in Egypt, on Thursday.

A report was received by the Red Sea Governorate's operations room stating that a tourist submarine, sailing from one of the beaches in the tourist promenade area, had sunk while carrying approximately 45 tourists of various nationalities. 

The ambulance operations room and relevant authorities were immediately notified and arrived at the scene.

All the tourists aboard the tourist submarine that sank off the coast of Hurghada in the Red Sea were Russians.
