CAIRO – 17 February 2025: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty, met with Mr. Sven Koopmans, EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, on the sidelines of the fourth meeting of the International Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution.

 

The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need to accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in light of the worsening conditions there. 

 

He also highlighted the importance of initiating early recovery and reconstruction programs as soon as possible. 

 

Abdelatty noted that Egypt is developing a comprehensive plan to ensure early recovery and reconstruction while ensuring that Palestinians remain on their land. The Minister provided a detailed explanation of the various stages and timelines of Egypt's vision for early recovery and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip.

 

For his part, the European official praised Egypt's central role in achieving the ceasefire agreement and commended the ongoing efforts by Egypt to formulate an integrated vision for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza, ensuring the presence of Palestinians on their land. He expressed his full support for these initiatives.
