CAIRO - 28 January 2025: The National Council for Women (NCW) said Tuesday it supports all measures taken by Egypt to protect the Egyptian and Arab national security from any plans to forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza.
In a statement, NCW’s head Amal Ammar said settling the Palestinians in Sinai would liquidate the Palestinian cause, dubbing it as the “cause of the entire Arab nation.”
She also emphasized that Sinai is “a red line” that no compromise can cross.
The NCW highlighted respect and appreciation for the steadfastness of Palestinian woman, as well as their “giving and unlimited sacrifices.”
The council rejects plans that would displace Palestinian women from their land in which they saw their loved ones slain. Such displacement violates all international treaties, charters, norms and human values, constituting a war crime, ethnic cleansing and collective punishment against the Palestinian people, the indigenous people of the land, the NCW said.
There is no solution to the Palestinian issue except the two-state solution, not displacement at the expense of neighboring countries, the statement highlighted.
