Hamas delegation in Cairo, meets with released Palestinian prisoners

CAIRO – 27 January 2025: A delegation from Hamas movement arrived in Cairo, this evening on an official visit, according to a statement released by the movement.

It is scheduled that the delegation will meet with the Egyptian leadership and discuss developments in implementing the ceasefire agreement and prisoner swap deal between Hamas and Israel in its three stages, the statement added.

In another statement, Hamas announced that its leaders met with the released prisoners who arrived in Cairo last Saturday as part of the first phase of the ceasefire deal.

The event was attended by leaders from Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, along with representatives from several Palestinian factions, the released prisoners who were deported outside of Palestine, and the families of the prisoners.
