Egypt grants inmates exceptional visit on occasion of International Human Rights

CAIRO - 8 December 2024: The Egyptian Ministry of Interior granted all male and female prisoners an exceptional visit from December 10 to 31 that is not counted among the visits scheduled for inmates.

This comes in celebration of  the "International Human Rights Day", which falls on December 10 of each year.

The ministry added that it provides all forms of support and care to inmates of reform and rehabilitation centers, providing them with every opportunity to meet their families on various occasions.

As part of the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign that runs from November 25 to December 10, the Ministry of Interior  granted the male and female inmates an exceptional visit in November.

This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Interior's keenness to uphold human rights values, implement the penal policy with its modern approach, and provide various aspects of care for inmates.
