CAIRO – 23 July 2017: Saudi ambassador to Jordan, Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Turki Al-Saud denied on Sunday any intention of the Arab countries to resort to a military solution in order to solve Qatar’s crisis, according to televised interview with Sky News channel.

Bin Turki stated that the Arab demands to Qatar not to interfere in its interior affairs do not contradict with the sovereignty of the State of Qatar and affirmed that Doha has to comply to the agreements signed by Qatar in Riyadh.

He continued to stress that the demand for Qatar to stop funding and supporting terrorism comes at the top of Arab demands, stressing that there are clear evidences of Qatar’s long history of supporting terrorism.

In early June 2017, several countries, including Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, severed diplomatic ties with Doha over accusations of Qatar backing and funding terrorist groups.

The countries closed airspace and maritime ports to Doha transportation.
