Egypt ready to deliver training to Chadian public employees: ambassador

CAIRO – 15 June 2024: Ambassador to Chad Osama Hady met this week with the Chadian minister of foreign affairs expressing Egypt's readiness to deliver training to public employees in various fields and conferring over other potential realms of cooperation.

In January 2022, President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi received his Chadian counterpart Mahamat Deby at Al Itihadyah presidential palace to discuss bolstering biletarl ties. In December of the same year, the president ratified a study to construct a land road between Egypt and Chad through Sudan.

In May 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry delivered a message from President Sisi to Deby on bilateral relations, Sudan crisis, and role of Chad - among other neighboring states - in supporting a ceasefire.
