Egypt keen on safety of dual nationals in Gaza, freeing hostages: FM

CAIRO – 1 November 2023: Within his regional tour to hold consultations on the military escalation in Gaza Strip and its repercussions, Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukar met with his Egyptian counterpart.

 

The two ministers exchanged assessments of the deteriorating field and humanitarian conditions, agreeing on the necessity of coordinating efforts aimed at breaking the violence cycle and accomplishing a humanitarian truce.  

Minister Shokry welcomed Thailand's voting in favor of the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on October 26 and targeting a ceasefire. He also expressed Egypt's keenness on working with international partners to protect dual nationals and free hostages.
