Egypt’s President Sisi, Algerian counterpart discuss regional, international issues

CAIRO – 10 July 2023: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke over with phone with President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, said Presidential Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy in a statement on Monday.

The two leaders’ call “touched on a number of issues pertinent to the outstanding bilateral relations between Egypt and Algeria, within the framework of the two countries’ keenness on continuing efforts toward expanding and deepening the various fields of cooperation so as to boost the common interests of the two countries and their peoples,” Fahmy said.

“The two Presidents exchanged views on regional and international issues of joint concern and ways to counter the challenges facing the region, in light of the two countries‘ roles and commitment to enhancing joint Arab action,” Fahmy added.
