Both ministers expressed interest in coordinating with Egypt on securing care to their citizens in Sudan, agreeing on continuing consultations with the Egyptian side in the coming period.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement earlier on Thursday declaring that the remainder of Egyptian troops who had been held by Sudan's Rapid Support Forces were delivered to the Egyptian embassy in Khartoum in collaboration with the UAE and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRS).

The Egyptian Armed Forces also issued a statement clarifying that the majority of soldiers, who were part of joint exercises with the Sudanese Army, had been returned on board of three Egyptian military transport aircraft on Wednesday.
