PM says Sisi's visit to Sinai asserts success of Egyptian state in uprooting terrorism

Cairo - 5 April 2023: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Sinai, where he had an Iftar banquet with the chieftains of Sinai tribes and Armed Forces personnel is affirming the success of the Egyptian state in uprooting terrorism and pushing ahead with efforts to achieve integrated development across the peninsula.  


President Sisi's visit to Sinai Peninsula came to mark the anniversary of the victory in the 6th of October War in 1973, which fell on the 10th day of the holy month of Ramadan that year, per the Islamic Hijri calendar.

While chairing a government meeting at the New Administrative Capital on Wednesday, Madbouli greeted President Sisi and Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki on this glorious victory’s anniversary. 

The premier talked about the outcome of talks held between President Sisi and speaker of the Iraqi parliament Mohamed al Halboosi.

Madbouli stressed the importance of President Sisi's visit to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, saying it reflected the two countries' keenness on developing relations on all fronts.

Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas Helmy, meanwhile, presented a report on the future vision for investing in the national aviation industry to promote tourism and support the national economy.
