CAIRO – 18 November 2022: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Friday the work progress at new axes and road projects in Greater Cairo.

The Spokesperson for the Presidency Bassam Rady said the President inspected work progress in the upgrading of Gamal Abdel Nasser Axis, which is one of the major and vital arteries in New Cairo and east Cairo, extending to the New Administrative Capital. This axis is characterized by high traffic density and will be an alternative to the northern and southern Teseen, or 90, Street.

After the upgrading, Gamal Abdel Nasser Axis will extend for about 11 Km, with a width of 45 meters and a total of 6 lanes.

The President was keen on conversing with the workers on work progress. He stressed the need to apply the standard specifications in the upgrading of the axis, including traffic planning work and traffic signs in residential and service areas, to ensure smooth traffic flow in the axis.
