Egypt condemns terrorist attack against military barracks in Djibouti

CAIRO – 9 October 2022: Egypt strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the military barracks in Djibouti and claimed the lives of seven soldiers and injured others, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Sunday.

Egypt stands strong by Djibouti’s government and people, and offers its sincere condolences for the death of the victims, the statement added.

On Friday, Djibouti's Ministry of Defense announced that a rebel group called “FRUD Armé” launched an attack against military troops based in Garabtisan, a town in the Tadjoura region.
