CAIRO - 4 September 2022: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Sunday in Cairo.

 

The meeting focused on a number of issues pertinent to bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest, said presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady in a statement.

 

The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and the Saudi Ambassador in Cairo.

 

The Saudi Foreign Minister conveyed to President El-Sisi the greetings of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and HRH Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

 

He underscored the historical and profound relations the two countries share, reiterating the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening the strategic cooperation between the two sides across various levels. The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs also emphasized the Kingdom’s keenness on further advancing joint action and intensive coordination with Egypt on a multitude of regional and international issues.

 

President El-Sisi asked for his greetings to be conveyed to the Saudi King and the Crown Prince, stressing the special strategic characteristics of the Egyptian-Saudi relations, which represent a cornerstone for stability in the entire Middle East region, particularly in light of the delicate conditions Arab countries are passing through and the various challenges they are facing.
