CAIRO - 14 August 2022: Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has condoled with Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese for the victims of the fire that erupted in Abo Sefein Church in Imbaba district of Giza earlier Sunday.

Gomaa also condoled with the families of the deceased and all the Egyptian people and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

Also, Mufti Dr Shawqi Allam has extended condolences to Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese for the victims. Allam, in a statement, condoled with families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

He prayed to Allah to protect Egypt and maintain its security, safety and stability.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi paid his condolences to the families of the victims of a fire accident at a church in Cairo on Sunday.

He also paid his condolences to Pope Tawadros II, and wrote on Facebook that he has instructed all state institutions to provide all kinds of care to the victims and their families.
