Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Mekameleen TV channel closes its offices, studios in Turkey

CAIRO- 30 April 2022: The outlawed Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated satellite channel, Mekameleen, announced the closure of its offices and studios in Turkey.
 
Mekameleen and Al Sharq TV channel were famous for their bias and incitement against Egypt. The channel also announced that it would relaunch in other places outside Turkey. 
 
The channel’s decision was taken few days after the Turkish authorities asked one of the pro-Muslim Brotherhood group published video on his Facebook page inciting Egyptians to take to streets and protest.
 
In July 2021, the Turkish officials banned the Egyptian fugitives of the outlawed group Brotherhood from using social media platforms in posts incite violence in Egypt, according to Al Arabia net. 
 
The Egyptian-Turkish diplomatic relations have recently witnessed a breakthrough since 2020 they agreed on continuing the exploratory consultations aimed at normalizing relations, which were severed in 2013 due to Turkey's support to the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood outlawed in Egypt.
