Egyptian, Chinese FMs confer over international issues of mutual concern

CAIRO – 22 March 2022: The Egyptian and Chinese diplomatic delegations, headed by the foreign affairs ministers of both countries, met Tuesday in the Pakistani capital Islamabad to confer over a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern as well as bilateral cooperation in different fields.

 

Minister Sameh Shokry and Minister Wang Yi are attending the 48th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) that kicked off earlier on Tuesday, and will conclude Wednesday.

 

China's Special Envoy to the Middle East Zhai Jun visited Cairo Monday within his tour in the region, and was received by Deputy Minister for Arab Affairs Alaa Mousa.  

 

The two senior diplomats exchanged views on the Palestinian Cause's potential peace process; developments in Syria, Libya, Yemen, Sudan, and South Sudan; and, updates of the Ukrainian-Russian crisis and its repercussions on the Middle East.
