CAIRO - 15 March 2022: The Interior Ministry launched Tuesday the 22nd phase of " We Are All One" initiative, in cooperation with the different ministry's sectors and security directorates nationwide.

The initiative, which was launched on the occasion of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, provides high-quality goods with a 60% discount compared to their counterparts in markets.

Outlets where the products will be available include branches of a number of supermarket chains and cargo vans.

A number of housewives were keen to thank those in charge of these humanitarian initiatives, as the women said: "We thank President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who is always busy with the citizen, and who is always keen on our comfort." The policemen were keen to be present in the vicinity of the sales outlets to ensure continuity and help citizens obtain their requirements easily.

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi also directed the government to offer farmers additional crop delivery incentives per each ardib of locally grown wheat to encourage them to supply as much as possible from their harvest during the current season, the premier noted.

The Prime Minister Madbouli also asserted the need to beef up market control activities at all outlets nationwide, especially ahead of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, which will start in early April.

Madbouli said that the committee will convene once each week to assess the latest developments on the crisis, which has cast its shadow on many countries, and take the measures necessary in light of these developments.

For his part, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi said that his ministry will continue to offer meat products during the holy month of Ramadan at pre-crisis rates, noting that rice would also be available at prices lower than current market rates, in agreement with 60 major rice mills.

In addition, cooking oil will also be available at supermarket chains and the ministry’s affiliated outlets at pre-crisis rates, Moselhi added.

Speaking about the preparations under way to launch "SuperMarket & Ahlan Ramadan" exhibitions in Greater Cairo and other governorates, Moselhi said this week will see the launch "Ahlan Ramadan" exhibitions in various governorates with the participation of major supermarket chains, government companies, and outlets to offer basic food items at affordable prices.
