CAIRO- 26 July 2021: Years ago, Egypt used to import its needs of food to supply citizens’ needs, but now, with the beginning of the New Republic, the country started providing its food needs as economic crises shrink and Egyptian families’ needs are met via major national projects launched in the agricultural sector.

In the below lines, et displays Egypt’s agricultural investment map and the investment opportunities that rely on four axes:

 

1- Land reclamation projects:

Egypt recently launched important national reclamation projects like: the New Delta. It also launched a project for the reclamation and cultivation of lands in North and Central Sinai, in addition to projects in the south of the valley and other areas.

 

2- Livestock production projects:

There are projects related to the development and manufacture of livestock and dairy products launched in Egypt.

The Ministry of Agriculture has recently concluded a partnership with a number of private sector companies in this field as it is becoming a new hub that stimulates investments in this sector.

 

 3- Pourtly wealth projects:

The World Organization for Animal Health issued a decision for 30 facilities as being free of bird flu, and nine areas were allocated in four governorates with a total area of ​​19,000 acres for domestic investment, and 13 sites were allocated to the General Authority for Reconstruction and Agricultural Development Projects.

4- Fisheries projects:

A total of 21 fisheries (a site for fish farming) were set up in the Mediterranean and Red seas. There are 12 sites in the Mediterranean and (9) others in the Red Sea allocated for fish farming in marine cages.

The specifications of the fisheries were prepared and sent to the Council of Ministers in preparation for offering to investors.
