Police officer fatally shot in Qalyubia

CAIRO- 7 July 2017: A police officer was fatally shot while he was leaving a mosque after performing Friday prayer in Qalyubia (Delta).

The national security police officer was named Ibrahim Azazi, an official told Al-Masry Al-Youm. Meanwhile, security forces intensified in the vicinity of the attack.

The attack came few hours after a car bombing targeted military personnel during confrontation between militants and security forces in North Sinai.
