CAIRO - 5 May 2020: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a message from Malian President Bah Ndaw, which included praising the continuous development in the course of bilateral relations between Egypt and Mali.

 
Malian President expressed his country's deep appreciation to Egypt, its people and its leadership for their continuous support in achieving its development aspirations, political will and clear vision pursued by Egypt to advance the efforts of joint African action.

This came during a meeting between President El-Sisi, on Wednesday, with Zinni Moulay, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Mali, in the presence of Sameh Shoukry, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Presidential spokesman, Bassam Radi, stated that the President conveyed his greetings to President Bah Ndaw, stressing the specificity of the distinguished bilateral relations linking Egypt with Mali, especially in light of its location in the African Sahel region, which is of great importance for regional security as a whole.

 
El-Sisi extended Egypt's keenness to help restore stability in Mali, as well as work to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially in infrastructure projects and pharmaceutical industries, in addition to capacity building and technical support for financial cadres in various fields, as well as cooperation in the field of combating terrorism and extremist ideology, security and military coordination.

Shoukri has discussed with his Malian counterpart a number of issues of common interest.


They also probed means on cementing bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation between both countries, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez said Wednesday in a post on his social network account.
