Heat wave to hit Egypt until mid next week

CAIRO – 29 April 2021: Temperature degrees are expected to rise in Egypt as of Thursday due to a hot air mass hitting the country until mid-next week.

 

Extending from the Arabian Peninsula, the hot air mass will affect the northern parts of Egypt during the next week.

 

Accordingly, temperature degrees will continue to rise gradually as of Thursday, recording highs of 36°C in Cairo and lows of 19°C.

 

Active winds will be witnessed, while the heat wave will relent during the night hours.

 

Egypt’s official forecast authority warned citizens from direct exposure to sunlight during the coming days.

 

As for temperatures on Thursday:

 

Greater Cairo records highs of 36 °C and lows of 19°C

 

Alexandria records highs of 30°C and lows of 18°C

 

Matrouh records highs of 32°C and lows of 18°C

 

Sohag records highs of 37°C and lows of 22°C

 

Aswan records highs of 39°C and lows of 24°C
