Egypt's chief of staff attends exercise 'Fateh 2021' in Southern Military Zone

CAIRO – 13 April 2021: Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid attended Tuesday the main stage of the exercise project "Fateh 2021" implemented by units of the Southern Military Zone in cooperation with the main branches over several days.  

 

The exercise project is part of the annual drills plan carried out by the formations and units of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

The main stage consisted of presenting the measures taken in the preparatory phase to organize the battle and moves to accomplish the set missions.

 

A simulation of eliminating terrorists from an island in the Red Sea, and terrorist elements who infirtlated a border village was held. Further, the units taking part in the drills did atypical shots showing high skill and accuracy.

The chief of staff discussed with a number of commanders and officers the way they carry out tasks asking how they will act in particular tactical incidents of emergency to ensure their ability to make the right decisions amid rapid changes during battles.
