After being in the International Labour Organization (ILO)’s blacklist for five years in a row, Egypt has been removed from the ILO’s latest list.
This came in light of developing value chains in the dairy sector in Gharbiya Governorate, which was implemented in partnership with the Ministry of International Cooperation and the ILO, and with funding from the Norwegian government.
The manpower minister underscored Egypt’s continuous efforts to uproot child labour according to the national plan to eliminate child labour by 2025.
