Egyptian Minister Of International Cooperation
Mashat’s meeting with Nicholas Stern, chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics, came on the sidelines of the 2022 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) in Washington.
This came as she participated in the Intergovernmental G24 Ministers and Governors Meeting, which is being held in conjunction with the WBG and IMF’s 2022 Spring Meetings.
With a third of total development financing dedicated to the private sector in 2020, totaling $3.1 billion out of $9.8 billion, Al-Mashat underlined that this is an opportunity to showcase Egypt’s past successes in securing development financing
Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, met with Dr. Dina Saleh, the Regional Director for the Near East, North Africa and Europe at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) of the United Nations, to discuss expanding projects and outlining future areas of cooperation to enhance food and nutrition security and support resilient livelihoods.
