Train Engines
The Egyptian Railway Authority (ERA) postponed announcing the winner in the tender offered to select a supplier of 100 train engines to mid-May after Eid Al Fitr instead of April.
The deal is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with €290 million.
Egyptian transport minister Kamel el Wazir went Saturday to Alexandria to celebrate the arrival of the fifth batch which consists of 30 train engines supplied by General Electric and transported by sea.
