Egypt has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UK-based company Polar Hydro to implement a large-scale solid waste management and treatment project in Shabramant, Giza, at a total cost of $4.2 billion.
British Ambassador to Cairo Gareth Bayley said the UK’s current role is to encourage each of Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia to reach a suitable solution regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) under the sponsorship of the African Union.
This is the largest vaccine shipment ever from the UK on the bilateral level between Europe and Africa, Bayley said, affirming that “no one is safe until everyone is safe”.
Adams set out in a letter addressed to Al-Mashat, the UK’s support for the Ministry’s efforts, in line with its People, Projects, and Purpose framework.
