Plastic Pollution
Awad underscored the urgency of reaching a global agreement to combat plastic pollution, which poses serious risks to the environment and public health. She noted that plastic pollution disrupts ecological balance and threatens the sustainability of life on Earth.

As World Tourism Organization of the United Nations has launched campaigns to raise awareness against environmental pollution; Egypt has started in 2019 to limit the use of plastic.
Clean Shores Egypt, a branch of a global non-profit organization that aims at saving shores from pollition, has concluded its four activities in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate, which started from September 12th, with the participation of 35 volunteers.
