Munich Security Conference
Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty made several meetings with Foreign Ministers of European countries, on Friday, February 14, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany.
He reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to supporting Sudan and its national institutions, as well as its efforts to strengthen the country's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. Additionally, he reiterated Egypt's support for humanitarian response initiatives in Sudan.
During the conference, the Minister will engage in discussions on key regional and international developments, as well as hold a series of bilateral meetings with foreign ministers and senior officials on the sidelines to address various global challenges.
The ministers continued consultations on efforts aimed at reviving peace and reaching a comprehensive and just settlement for the Palestinian-Israeli cause.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC2022), Hafez added.
Both leaders were participating as keynote speakers in a session on international climate diplomacy, on the sidelines of the MSC.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of developing cooperation, especially in the clean energy and new and renewable energy domains.
Shoukry's remarks came during his participation in a ministerial meeting of the international follow-up committee which is an offshoot of the Berlin Conference on Libya.
Shoukry mulled on Saturday with German National Security Adviser Jan Hacker ways of resolving the Middle East crises.
Minister Shoukry will participate in several sessions and events on the sidelines of the conference, shedding light on the Egyptian vision on how to deal with various regional and international issues.
The country also played a big role in international events, during its chairmanship of UNSC in February 2018 and June 2019, he added.
