Merry Christmas
The First Lady wrote - via her official Facebook page " I would like to wish many happy returns to the Egyptian people on the occasion of the blessed Coptic Christmas, a celebration that embodies both love and peace. I ask Allah the Almighty to preserve our unity and love amongst us. Many happy returns and Merry Christmas.”
“We as Egyptians have to consider all measures to protect our homeland and the most important one is the love between the Egyptians,” he said, adding “Love, awareness and understanding among the Egyptian are enormous and make them to deal with the matters [wisely] domestically and abroad.”
Upon his arrival, President Sisi was welcomed and received by Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, who led the Christmas mass.
In a statement, President Sisi added that Egypt will always remain a beacon of coexistence, unity, and love among its people of various religions.
President Sisi to Pope Tawadros II: "I seize this pleasant occasion to praise the strength of cohesion and interconnectedness between the people of Egypt, both Muslims and Copts, in our journey towards the desired future of this dear country. Egypt is the cradle of divine messages, which has been and will remain to be a source of pride for this great country throughout history."
Also, President Sisi wished Egyptian Copts abroad a merry Christmas, on Thursday, MENA said.
In a cable of greetings posted by all Egyptian embassies on social media platforms, President also wished that Egypt would realize more progress and prosperity.
The Cairo Opera House will present six shows of famed Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "The Nut Cracker" from Dec. 25-30, 2018.
Three concerts will be held in Cairo Opera House's Grand Theater on Dec. 13 and 14 at 8 p.m.
