Egypt is keen on the safety and stability of Lebanon and totally supports Lebanese sovereignty over its territories in face of any violations, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Friday.
Madbouly met Mikati in Egypt, as the Lebanese premier has been in the country to attend the World Youth Forum (WYF) in South Sinai’s Sharm El-Sheikh.

Egypt’s President has directed to expedite efforts to supply Lebanon with the Egyptian natural gas required for power generation, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli told his Lebanese counterpart, Najib Mikati, on Thursday.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed on Thursday Egypt’s keenness to achieve the Lebanese interests and spare Lebanon from the dangers posed by the region’s conflicts.
According to a statement by the Egyptian government, Madbouly will discuss with Mikati bilateral cooperation and the most prominent issues of mutual concern regionally and internationally.
Lebanon’s new Prime Minister Najib Mikati invited Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Tuesday to visit Lebanon at the earliest opportunity.
Mikati said his investments include various sectors such as telecommunications, gas, oil, real estate and banks.
