Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty participated in the launch ceremony, which took place at the foreign ministry’s Tahrir Palace.
His call came during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat, where the president emphasized the importance of improving Egypt’s position in global telecommunications rankings.
The updated strategy seeks to deepen AI integration across sectors, address societal challenges, expand training programs for specialized talent, and enhance computational infrastructure for both government and private entities, including startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
This marks Deloitte’s first center for exporting innovative digital services from Egypt.
Additionally, the digital Egypt platform will be further developed to provide improved digital services to citizens, including those residing abroad. The Egyptian Post Office network will also undergo modernization efforts.
Minister Amr Talaat revealed the initiative during his opening address at the Egypt International Summit for Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity (EISDTC)
He stated that 40 startups in Cairo and Giza raised $40 million in investments over the past two years and over 55 startups were incubated in the governorate-based centers
This came on the sidelines of the 32nd session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee’s ministerial meeting.
These announcements were made during the inauguration ceremony of Atos' new global services center headquarters in Egypt. The event was attended by Amr Talaat, the Minister of MCIT.

The collaboration is part of a broader strategy to strengthen business continuity and facilitate future expansions in the Eastern European region
Talaat met with leaders of Teleperformance, NOKIA, and Alcatel Lucent Enterprise to discuss investment opportunities and the possibility of expanding their businesses in Egypt.
