Police in Queensland said a man forced entry into the museum around 3 a.m., smashing a window before stealing several ancient Egyptian artefacts.
Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York announced that it will return back a valuable artifact to Egypt after discovering that it was stolen from the country in 2011.
All items stolen from the dome of Imam Shafi’I Mosque have been recovered, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Amin said.
