Egypt will succeed Ecuador in chairing the Group of 77 and China in the United Nations.
Egypt’s presidency over the Group of 77 and China as of January 2018 will help Cairo play a leading role in issues of climate change, FM Sameh Shoukry said.
Egypt will chair the Group of 77 and China (G-77/China) as of January 2018, Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy said on Friday.
