‘Niqab’ falsely claimed to be obligatory: former mufti

Grand Mufti, Ali Gomaa, said that Salafists’ claims that the “niqab” (cloth covering the face) is obligatory for women in Islam is a pretext for them to consider other Muslims faithless and thus take power.
