Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met Tuesday with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides at the UN headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. Madbouly is attending the high-level meetings on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Various Egyptian, Cypriot and Greek ministers are participating in the forum, alongside more than 70 Cypriot and Greek companies and 200 Egyptian companies.

This will contribute to making this cooperation mechanism a role model for coordination and consultations between Mediterranean countries and reflect the special Egyptian-Cypriot special relations, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement.
Anastasiades affirmed the need for cooperation with Egypt during the current stage, calling it “even more important” than earlier.
