57th Edition
The curtain has fallen on the 57th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair after attracting more than 6.2 million visitors from January 21 to February 3, in an unprecedented milestone.
On the seventh day alone, around 467,512 visitors attended, bringing the total to 3,034,030 since the fair opened to the public.
The 2026 edition of the fair, held from 21 January to 3 February at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo, presents a rich cultural and intellectual program that reflects its status as the largest cultural event in Egypt and the Arab world.
The 2026 edition invites audiences to explore literature, history, children’s imagination, and global dialogue in what organizers describe as the largest and most diverse edition in the fair’s history.
