Recognizing the close link between Egypt and the Horn of Africa region, the country emphasizes the importance of achieving and maintaining regional stability and securing navigation in the Red Sea, which are key elements for both regional and international security. In this context, Egypt intends to participate in the new African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and is actively working to secure the necessary funding for the mission.
