34,611,991 registered voters will choose among 1,316 candidates competing for 142 seats in this phase.

The first phase includes 14 Egyptian governorates: Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, New Valley, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, Red Sea, Alexandria, Beheira, and Matrouh.
