Golf in Egypt
The year 2025 witnessed an unprecedented launch for golf in Egypt. The Egyptian Golf Federation, under the leadership of Omar Hisham Talaat, successfully organized five major international championships within a single year. This achievement has effectively restored Egypt's historical prominence in the sport, whose roots extend back over 100 years.
Egypt will host three open amateur golf championships in October at the Dreamland and New Giza golf courses, with the participation of a selection of top players, the Egyptian Golf Federation has announced.
