The foreign minister stressed the importance of the AU’s stabilisation mission as the main mechanism for upholding stability.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Egypt is ready to cooperate with its Nile Basin partners to develop their capabilities, and share relevant expertise in various sectors, including the agriculture, irrigation, health, energy, and mining industries.
“Our participation is positive,” Sisi said in a joint press conference with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who embarked on a visit to Cairo on Thursday to elevate relations between both countries.
The decision was confirmed by Somali Defense Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur Jama in an interview with Somali national TV today.
