Kamal Adwan Hospital
Egypt's foreign minister expressed Egypt's full rejection of Israeli systematic targeting of health infrastructure and hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
Egypt has condemned the “new, ugly face” Israel has demonstrated recently by heavily targeting the health system in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that “these crimes will not drive the Palestinian people from their lands.”
Al Azhar denounced the Israeli targeting of patients and medical staff of the hospital, resulting in the deaths of dozens of innocent people, as well as the detention and humiliation of doctors and paramedics, forcing them to take off their clothes and kidnapping them to unknown locations.
The occupation forces stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital yesterday hours after besieging it, burned its facilities and abused those inside, including patients, the injured and medical staff, before detaining a number of them and forcing others to take off their clothes in the bitter cold and forcibly evacuate them, in conjunction with gunfire and shelling around it, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) said.
Israeli forces stormed the hospital in Beit Lahiya early on Friday and ordered evacuation of patients to the courtyard, while conducting mass arrests, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
Several children were killed after the forces shelled the oxygen facility.
