Inflation Rates
The Central Bank Governor highlighted the rise in the Central Bank’s net international reserves, which reached $52.6 billion in January 2026.
The report highlighted that the monthly inflation rate for January rose to 1.6 percent, compared to 0.0 percent in December 2024.
On a yearly basis, core inflation eased slightly to 23.2 percent in December 2024, from 23.7 percent in the previous month.
Annually, core inflation dropped slightly to 25.0 percent in September 2024, compared to 25.1% in August 2024.
Egypt's annual inflation rate was recorded at 26.0 percent in September 2024, a significant decrease from 40.3 percent in the same month of the previous year.
