The Elders
On July 29, Abdelatty met with a number of leaders and members of The Elders on the sidelines of the High-Level International Conference on "The Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution," held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry lauded considerable efforts made by The Elders with international parties to stop bloodshed in the Gaza Strip and contain the worsening humanitarian situation in the Palestinian enclave.
