Osimhen
Strikers Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams grabbed second-half goals as Nigeria powered to a deserved 2-0 victory over Algeria in Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final to set up a meeting with hosts Morocco in the last four.
Galatasaray have signed striker Victor Osimhen from Serie A side Napoli for 75 million euros (85.74 million dollars), the Super Lig champions announced on Thursday, making the Nigerian the most expensive incoming transfer in Turkish soccer.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed that Victor Osimhen will leave the club at the end of the season, while also ruling out that Jose Mourinho will come on board to coach the Serie A club.
The Italian side posted a video on TikTok with a high pitched voice showing Osimhen missing a penalty in their 0-0 draw against Bologna on Sunday, which was later deleted.
"The chances of him being available are 100% because the work schedule, it was made in that direction," Spalletti told Sky Sports in Italy.
"It wasn't easy, but we managed to reach a historical goal for Napoli," coach Luciano Spalletti said. "I hope we enjoy it now with the whole team and together with the fans."
