Egyptian Transport Ministry
The launch of operations took place during the 6th Smart Transport, Logistics and Traffic Fair & Forum for the Middle East & Africa (TransMEA 2025), taking place from November 9 to 11 in Cairo’s Fifth Settlement.
The MoU was signed by Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the CMA CGM Group Rodolphe Saadé, in presence of Egypt's ambassador in Paris Alaa Youssef.
Transport Minister Kamel Wazir stressed the Egyptian National Railways will finalize renewing all railway services by 2024, congratulating the Egyptian leadership and people on operating the first Talgo deluxe passenger train.
