Moataz Matar
Pro-Muslim Brotherhood T.V. anchorman Moataz Matar, along with four people, were handed down a sentence of life imprisonment for charges with joining a terrorist group and publishing false news, according to a ruling issued state security court in Cairo on Saturday.
The decision came into force on the day of the publication in the official gazette.
In November 2019, the defendants were referred to the trial for a judge in the Zagazig Court of First Instance as they online accused him of misusing his judicial authority and position.
