Czech Republic won their first match against Sweden- UEFA.com
CAIRO – 3 July 2017: The UEFA European Under-19 Championship started Sunday in Georgia. The competition is being held from July 2-15.
The Czech Republic opened their participation in the competition with a 2-1 win over their opponent Sweden, with Daniel Turyana scoring both goals for the Czech Republic. Viktor Gyökeres scored Sweden’s only goal in the match.
Georgia lost their first match Portugal. Rui Pedro scored the only goal of the match for Portugal. The Czech Republic shares the top position in group A with Portugal, each team has 3 points. Sweden and Georgia are in the bottom with no points.
Georgia will face Sweden in the next match, both teams will try to win to stay on the tournament.
Portugal will play against the Czech Republic. both teams want to secure their qualification for the next round.
England will open the group B matches against Bulgaria on Monday, while Netherlands and Germany will meet each other in the second match.
